ADOPTED!
Say hello to Olive!
Olive is an adorable 14-month-old puppy who we promise will steal your heart. She is a typical, Labrador puppy that has a wiggly butt, and always happy to see you.
Olive has playful energy, but after some playtime will crash for her little puppy nap. Olive is crate trained and sleeps all night in her crate without a sound. She is housebroken and will alert you when she needs to go outside. All dogs, especially puppies, can have an accident once they get to their new home as she learns her new family routine. Her people will need to work with her and understand her actions when she needs to go outside.
Olive loves toys, especially playing tug of war and balls. Her new family will want to make sure they have a supply of good sturdy toys, Nylabones, for her. Olive is still all puppy and will need to be watched to make sure she doesn’t get into things. Her new home will need to be puppy-proofed, making sure there is nothing harmful within her reach. Olive is learning basic commands at her foster home, such as sit, and stay, and she is eager to learn. Olive also had a visit from our rescue trainer and did very well, she loves playing hide and seek, hiding the toy and having Olive go find it, this exercise is great for dogs. Our trainer said that Olive is “very smart” and her new family should continue to use exercises that stimulate her brain. Olive needs some leash training. She pulls and wants to explore everything she sees.
A family that is home and will not leave her for extended periods would also be great. Olive would do excellently on hikes, jogging, and hanging with her family. She is a sweetheart and wants to please her family. Her foster mom says she is a “Velcro dog” that wants belly rubs, kisses, and loves to cuddle. We think Olive would like to be an only dog in the home since she is so “Velcro” she doesn’t like sharing the attention, this shouldn’t be a problem since she is so sweet and affectionate. She is great playing with other dogs and would love playdates with other canines. Olive also is fostered with a cat and seems to get along, so a home with a dog-savvy cat would be fine for Olive.
Olive is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and microchipped. Now all she needs is a family that will love her and adores her forever.
