ADOPTED!
Meet Willow! This beautiful Labrador puppy is lively, funny, loving, but most of all, dedicated to her people. She loves her people! With patience and training, she’ll reward your family with her love, warmth, and goofiness.
She is learning so many new and wonderful things at her foster home, and she loves playing with the other dogs and being a part of the foster pack. The older dogs are teaching her manners so that she’ll be a well-behaved puppy in her new home. She has lots of energy, but with decent exercise, she settles right in!
Willow has been spayed and has all of her shots. WCLRR also ran a fecal which was negative. She is healthy and ready to run, jump, and play with her new family.
She came to us as an owner surrender. They loved her very much. Unfortunately, the family found themselves in a situation where they must relocate, and having Willow was going to be an issue. Reaching out to WCLRR was the best thing they could have done for her.
Willow is an active puppy. She is already housebroken. Her adult teeth will start to come in soon, so she needs plenty of Nylabones or Kongs to chew.
She can be a counter surfer, meaning she will jump up high enough to grab anything she can off of any counter. Counter surfing has the potential to be very dangerous, so her new family needs to work with her and remember to keep everything pushed back well out of her reach. The family must exercise care when opening doors leading to the outside world. Again, with training, she will lose these bad habits.
Willow loves to eat. She would probably eat an entire bag of dog food if she had the chance. Her new family must ensure she is not allowed to eat whatever she wants. Her fosters are teaching her to wait her turn during feeding time and gentle when taking a treat.
We recommend that Willow goes to a home where the family is active and can give her plenty of exercises. Having another dog would be best. As with all puppies, PATIENCE is mandatory. She is very smart, but it takes time for a puppy to understand what you want. You will be her 4th home (breeder > family one > foster > forever family) so she’ll be confused for a couple of days. But that will subside, and she’ll learn the rules of your home and give you all the love and affection she has.
