ADOPTED!
Meet Gibson!
Gibson Is a handsome chocolate male Labrador approx 18 months old who is attractive with a deep, dark, beautiful chocolate coat.
Gibson is still a puppy. Labradors can be considered a puppy until they are 2 yrs old. Even though he might look like an adult, he has the puppy wiggle down and the sweetest attitude that we all love in our Labs.
Gibson came to us as a stray at a local high kill shelter. His previous family was notified and told the shelter they would pick him up. Unfortunately, this never happened. He sat at the shelter until a volunteer from WCLRR stepped in.
Gibson has some training and seems to walk well on a leash. He can get distracted and pull at times but is easily corrected. He would benefit from some basic training classes and is very eager to please.
Gibson is in foster care with other Labradors and small dogs. They all get along great. His first introduction to the foster family’s cats went well; however, he does like to chase them.
We believe Gibson would like another young dog to hang with, but he really would like a family to make him a priority. We think he must have spent a lot of time outside and not given a lot of attention. Gibson is a little unsure of things and is a little shy at times. He is learning to trust his foster family and is eager to please. He loves tennis balls, and his canine foster bother is teaching him to fetch.
Gibson is a young boy but is not a high energy dog. He needs a family that will walk him a few times a day and play in the yard. In the house, Gibson will settle down and enjoy family time.
Gibson is neutered, microchipped, and current on all his shots.
