ADOPTED!

Meet Elaine! She’s a 14-month-old chocolate Labby girl. Elaine is on the small side of a Labrador, which is just adorable.

Elaine is still very much a puppy and has already had a litter of puppies of her own. This sweet girl is ready for her new home where she can be the puppy that she is. If you’ve heard the term “Velcro Dog” that describes Elaine, as she will stick around with you all day, giving love and kisses and looking for love back. She is loving and bonds with her new family right away.

Elaine is completely housebroken and crate trained and sleeps in her crate all night long. She is excited to see her person first thing in the morning.  Elaine possibly never had regular walks in her previous home, so she’ll pull and is now learning that she should go potty on her walks. She loves to take in all the things she sees and smells on her walks and would make a great walking or hiking companion once she has some leash training.

Elaine loves to play fetch and will even bring it right back to you. She is still a puppy, and a puppy requires extra attention. Her new home must be puppy proof making sure the nothing is laying around that can harm her. Counters, tables, bathroom counters, and trash should be securely latched and cleared. Medications, gum, candy, eyeglasses, remotes, and more could be deadly to a dog. Even though Elaine has not demonstrated any destructive behavior or counter surfing, her new family must have all these things secured.

Elaine is on the higher end of the energy scale, but after exercise and playtime will settle nicely in the house. Someone who is a runner, jogger, hiker, power walker, and loves to be outdoors, Elaine is the dog for you! She loves her person, her exercise, food, and life in general.

Elaine came to us from a family that purchased her as a puppy. Unfortunately, they found that they didn’t have the time to dedicate to her with their busy life and small children. She was left in the backyard and wasn’t getting exercise or attention that she needed. Luckily the family did what was best for Elaine and reached out to WCLRR.

Elaine gets along with other dogs and kids, but she would prefer a home where she is the only dog. This way, she doesn’t have to share the attention with another dog. She is a ‘Velcro Dog” and loves her person.

Elaine is recently spayed and microchipped. She is up to date on her vaccines.
