ADOPTED!

Introducing Kramer! This hunky boy is only 14 months old and gorgeous. There is more to him than his good looks.

Kramer is still a Lab puppy, goofy, silly, awkward, and fun. Kramer doesn’t realize he is a big boy and not a lap dog. He came to WCLRR by when his family, who purchased him when he was a young puppy, found they didn’t have the time for a playful, energetic puppy. Kramer spent his days outside being bored and then getting into trouble when the family came home. As a typical young dog, he would find things to “play with” in the yard, such as sprinklers and garden hoses. His family knew he needed more exercise and attention, so they reached out to WCLRR.

Kramer is learning many things in his foster home. He is completely housebroken, sleeps through the night, and loves to be involved in daily activities with his foster family. Kramer will make an excellent hiker, in addition to long walks, doggy play dates, even dog beach.

He gets on well with the other fostered Lab at his foster home, and we believe he would do well with another canine friend. He will be fine as an only dog if his family is with him most of the time and doesn’t leave him alone for extended periods.

Kramer’s new home should have a supply of Kongs and Nylabones. He loves balls and toys, and his new home should have a steady supply of sturdy toys and balls for him.

It is extremely important to puppy proof your home — No food, gum, or medications within reach as these could be deadly to a dog. All trash must be in a latched closed cabinet or a dog proof trash can, and counters clear. Kramer can be a counter surfer. It is something that his new family should continually work on until they break the habit.

We suggest some training classes for Kramer to reinforce the basics that he already knows. It will be a great bonding experience for Kramer and his new family.
