ADOPTED!
Meet Cookie! A funny, loving, easy-going chocolate lab! She is a four-year-old found as a stray in the High Desert.
Cookie is kind and happy, her tail never stops wagging, and she looks like she’s always smiling. Cookie is well adjusted as you would expect a Labrador to be. Sometimes when dogs come into the rescue, they are stressed and uneasy at first, not Cookie, she acts like she’s always been with her foster mom.
Cookie walks great on a leash and is fully housebroken. She is excellent in the house alone and is not destructive. Cookie enjoys treats and is exceptionally gentle when taking them. She is on the mellow side and not high energy, but does enjoy being outdoors and long walks. Cookie loves people and will try and stop people on the street to pet her! She is also greats other dogs and seems to enjoy both human and dog companionship.
Cookie is learning some basic commands and catches on quickly as she is treat motivated. Training will be a snap, and she would do great with some basic obedience training.
Cookie loves kids, and should do well in a home with kids older than 5, as she tends to get excited and jumps up! We do not know how she would be with kitties at this time.
We believe Cookie would love another canine companion in her new home but does fine being alone during the day as well. She would like to go on hikes and walks to meet people and dogs, and socialize with them. Cookie well behaved. She has a calm personality that could make a great therapy dog.
Cookie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all of her vaccines.
When Cookie first came into our care, she visited our vet, who also treated her for ear infections. She is happy, healthy, and ready to find her forever home.
