ADOPTED!

Meet Donner! He’s a handsome two-year-old rescued at a high kill shelter where he came in as a stray. Our volunteer couldn’t get over how well trained and sweet he was even in this awful environment.

Donner is completely housebroken and sleeps all night on his dog bed in his foster home. He knows many commands and walks very well on a leash; he requires some correction but very rarely. He would love to be with a family who loves to hike, maybe even a runner.

Donner is a young boy who can be a little stubborn at times but quickly corrects and is very smart. Even though he has some basic training, he would do well with some training classes. His foster mom says he is as perfect as any dog can be.

Donner has shown no interest in doggy toys at his foster home, but he is learning. He is also learning to share, and sometimes he thinks that the other dogs shouldn’t play with the toys either. Donner is learning all these new things, and there will be an adjustment in his new home as there is with most rescue dogs. We have no idea of his past other than he was a stray at the shelter, and his family never came for him. He is confused about why this happened to him, but we will make sure this never happens again to him.

Donner is stunning and gets compliments everywhere he goes. He would love a family that will include him in all of their activities, a situation where someone is home a good part of the time, so he won’t be left alone for long periods.

Donner is a dog that loves attention, loves being petted, and giving love back to his family. Because he loves attention so much, we think he might be better as an only dog in the home so that he can get ALL the attention.

Donner is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, and microchipped.
