ADOPTED!
Meet Harley! He’s a beautiful English yellow male lab. He has a lovely blond undercoat that is topped by a gorgeous golden to russet topcoat with gentle waves.
Harley is estimated to be about 12 years old, and his quiet, thoughtful, and soulful style is perfect for a mature, peaceful household. But don’t let his age fool you. Harley still loves to play with balls, toys, and go for lovely long walks. His favorite thing in the entire world is to sit next to you and have you pet his head and scratch his ears; when you stop, He will gently put his paw on your leg to reminds you to keep going! Harley love to be with you and will follow you around all the time.
Harley started his journey with the shelter without tags or a microchip, and no one came looking for him. While he was in the shelter, he had two benign lumps removed. Harley has a few other little lumps and bumps but nothing is requiring attention.
When Harley gets excited or stressed, he does have a habit of dripping urine a bit for a few moments, so it would be important that his new family understand this and should provide a sweet, calm home.
Harley likes to snuggle with you on the couch! Because his coat is so beautiful, he will also need someone willing to him regular brushing to keep his shedding to a minimum and allow his fur to look it’s very best – he loves to be brushed!
Harley eats well and is the king of using the doggie door, but he also knows how to tell you if he needs to go outside without it. He is not food aggressive or toy aggressive.
Harley loves balls but doesn’t fetch much, and he loves a rope toy to be tugged and soft plush toys along with chew toys like Nylabones. Harley sleeps on his dog bed all night and is a good sleeper. He walks well on a leash and does not pull until something catches his attention but is willing to quickly forget it if you call his name and give a slight correction.
Harley is currently fostered with three other dogs and gets along great with them, including one who is very small. Harley isn’t crazy about the cat and tries to chase them around the house. His foster parents believe that he is the sweetest and most beautiful dog!
Harley is healthy and has had bloodwork, urine analysis, and complete exam he has been neutered, microchipped with all of his shots up to date.
