ADOPTED!

Meet Roscoe!

So many of you have asked about Roscoe since we rescued him from a High Desert shelter. He has stolen our hearts. His sad story being left at the shelter by the family that failed him. He was sitting in a concrete kennel for weeks waiting. WCLRR was in constant contact with the Rescue Coordinator at the shelter. We never gave up trying to get this handsome boy into our care.

Roscoe had bleeding polyps from his rectum, raging ear infections, and now we know he has mild seizures. All of this, while others said he was a healthy dog and his family was coming for him.  Because of this,  misinformation spread among social media. Roscoe’s release from the shelter took much longer and could have endangered him more.

Fast forward to now,  WCLRR has nursed Roscoe from his surgery by removing the benign polyps, resolved his ear infections, and started him on anti-seizure medication.  His seizures have been few and far between, but to make sure Roscoe has the best possible care, WCLRR consulted with our veterinarian, who recommended we start him on a low dosage of medication.

Roscoe is approx 8 yr young and one of the best kids you will find. Besides his handsome appearance, he has a personality to match.  He is easy going, well behaved, and a love bug in a big package!  His foster mom and her dogs adore him.

Roscoe would be a fantastic addition to a home that will continue with the low-cost medications he is on, including an anti-inflammatory to help with his arthritis and hips.

Roscoe likes walks and gets very excited when he sees the leash come out. He pulls at first but relaxes and walks beautifully.  Roscoe likes being a couch potato, a SERIOUS couch potato, lounging for hours. He is the total package of easy-going, fun-loving, and well-mannered dog.

We are looking for a home that will promise to provide the best for this special boy, a home that will continue with his medications, and give him a much-deserved love.

Roscoe is completely housebroken, sleeps throughout the night, and a gentleman in the house. He would like a family that includes him in their daily activities. Roscoe loves going for car rides, to restaurants, coffee shops, strolling through an outdoor shopping center, and strutting his stuff. He is so handsome people will want to come to meet him, and he loves attention.

Roscoe loves chewing and playing with the toys at his foster home. His favorite is flavored Nylabones. Roscoe is not food possessive or destructive when left alone.

Even with medical issues, Roscoe is as perfect as you will find. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, and microchipped. Roscoe has had complete bloodwork done and extensive exams and the best veterinarian care.
