ADOPTED!

Meet Shelia! She came to us from a high kill shelter where she was turned in the day before Thanksgiving because her owner could no longer afford her care.  She is approx nine-years-old and is beautiful with a silky soft, shiny coat.

Sheila can be a bit timid when you first meet her, but she warms up quickly with belly rubs. She is low energy and wants to be around her people getting all the love and attention Labby’s need.

Sheila walks well on a leash, with no sign of pulling. She is house trained and uses the dog door without hesitation.  Shelia sleeps all night on her bed and rides well in a car.

Sheila is gentle, loves treats, and is goods with kids. She will move aside if there is too much commotion for her comfort. Labs are good at this. She is not food or toy aggressive.  She’s hasn’t shown interest in toys or balls much preferring to be petted or brushed.  She eats best from an elevated food bowl and loves her treats!  Shelia is a little overweight and should lose a couple of pounds, so treats must be limited.

We believe Sheila would do best in a home where there is another canine companion or a home where someone is there all or most of the day. She loves being with her foster canine buddy and hanging out with him and lounging with her foster family watching TV.

Sheila is at that perfect age of being an active senior, not too hyper or active, and not quite a couch potato. If you are looking for the best of everything, Shelia is your girl!

Shelia has had a complete exam, including lab work, groomed, and she is ready for her furever home. We made her a promise that she will never be left behind again. We know our WCLRR families are the best!

Shelia is spayed, up to date on her shots and microchip.
