ADOPTED!
Meet Jake! Jake is a handsome three-year-old yellow male Labrador. Jake came to us due to sad circumstances, and Jake experienced some things in his previous home that made him afraid and required rehoming.
Jake was a fun-loving boy who got along with all living things. Unfortunately due to an incident in his last home he became fearful of other dogs and acted out. We now have Jake in our foster care, where he is undergoing training to help him overcome his fear.
Jake is a very loving, eager to please energetic little dude. He loves to hang around with his family, always nearby resting comfortably on a cozy dog bed. Jake loves to play ball in the backyard and practice his obedience cues so long as it means he’s getting love and affection from his owner in the process.
Jake would do best in a home of his own, without other dogs or animals. He would be alright with kids, but older kids would be better because Jake prefers a calm environment. He also would prefer someone who is home more than not.
WCLRR enrolled Jake in a board and train program where they are training him through concept training methods. Although these methods cover basic obedience, they go further in teaching a dog valuable life skills. It is considered the cutting edge of the dog training world. It is enjoyable for the dog and the people who practice it. Ideally, Jake’s progress and training would be continued through the same Methods after placement into a loving home.
This boy deserves a home that will make him feel secure, and most of all loved. Jake will be a loyal companion to the right owner. He will need to continue his training, of course. He would like someone who will make him a priority.
Jake is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines.
