Meet Maverick! This 5-6-year-old boy is great! He may be a “turnkey” Lab.

Maverick loves a ball! He’s an excellent fetcher and catcher. He likes to chew on the squeaky ball and then will toss it out of his mouth, sometimes even nudging it towards his foster to throw it again for him. Maverick is a self entertainer and a great fetcher! He likes other toys, too, but the ball is #1! (Especially the squeaky Kong ball).

Maverick has is trained. He knows “sit,” “down,” “stay,” and “come.” Maverick has good patience. He is also completely housebroken and sleeps all night. Maverick does well walking on a leash.

Maverick is food motivated but not obnoxious about it. He takes treats very gently and is affectionate and loves petting, kisses, and butt scratches. Maverick likes people and attention, but he’s not needy. However, if you have his ball and you don’t throw it fast enough, he will “talk” to you. A quote directly from our trainer, “Honestly, he’s a gem! He’s one of the best dogs I’ve come across.”
