ADOPTED!

Meet Owen! He is a handsome gentleman, approximately ten-years-old, and just a pleasure to have around according to his foster mom.

Owen was spotted at the shelter by a WCLRR volunteer. When he became available, we stepped right in and took him to safety. We immediately took Owen to our vet for a complete workup.

Owen had a few hot spots when he arrived, which have almost completely healed, thanks to his foster mom giving him some medicated baths and taking such good care of him.

Owen also has a cataract, which does hinder his sight a little bit, mostly depth perception. But it doesn’t slow him down or stop him from playing a good game of tug of war with the foster families dog. Owen loves to fetch and will play and play and play to the point that his foster mom says she gives out before he does.

Owen enjoys being with people. He will sit at the door, staring, waiting for someone to come back. He is not destructive and wants someone at home to be around. Owen loves going for car rides. His new family will want to invest in a ramp to make it a little easier for him to get in and out.

Owen also loves going for walks. He likes to stop and sniff things along the way, but he doesn’t pull and is happy to learn and see new things. Owen is completely housebroken and uses the doggy door at his foster home. He sleeps all night in a doggy bed and has a sweet snore to let you know he is very comfy and content.

Owen is a little rough when taking treats. We think it could have something to do with his eyesight, so his new family will want to work with him on this and be aware when giving him a treat.

Owen had a complete senior blood panel, urine analysis, senior exam, in addition to being neutered. He is a healthy boy.

Owen is up to date on his shots and microchipped.

Owen would love a house where someone is there most of the time so that he can play fetch in the yard and take some walks in the neighborhood. Owen will express his gratitude with endless love and snuggles.
