ADOPTED!
Meet Reuben! This handsome fellow is an approximately 1 1/2 – 2-year-old black labby boy. Reuben came to WCLRR through the shelter system, on the euthanize list due to being unsocial, and afraid of the kennel staff. He sat in the kennel, hoping that someone would realize he was scared and confused why he was there. A WCLRR volunteer went to the shelter and spent time with Reuben. We are happy to report Reuben isn’t frightened, confused, or unsocialized in the least bit. He is a bubbly, happy, and fun boy who loves everything and everyone!
Reuben is a very affectionate boy who loves dogs and all people. Reuben has had some training, such as sit and leash practice. He loves going on walks each day and would like a home where they will take him on hikes, doggy beach, and is part of the family, even to run errands.
Reuben sleeps all night on his bed and is housebroken. He is a foster home with another dog, and they get along great. However, Reuben likes his “people.” Reuben also loves the pool at his foster home and can’t wait for the warmer weather so he can enjoy swimming. A house with a pool or trips to the doggy beach would be an excellent outing for this young boy.
Reuben is a medium to high energy boy who will need his daily exercise but can settle nicely in the house. He loves sleeping on the couch if his new family allows that, otherwise he can be found laying at this fosters feet. His new home should have safe chewing toys for him, such as Nylabones, Kongs, and bully sticks.
Rueben is neutered, up to date on his shots, and microchipped.
