ADOPTED!

Meet Shadow! He is a lovely male Labrador, approximately eight-years-old. Other than the grey on his muzzle, you would think he was younger. He is an owner surrender from a high kill shelter. WCLRR pulled this boy out of there as soon as they could.

Shadow was a little timid when he first arrived at his foster home. Everything was so new, but once he adjusted to a routine, he became relaxed and more confident. He’s a happy boy, always wagging his tail. Shadow is housebroken, and his foster brother taught him how to use the dog door. He does not get on the furniture or bed in his foster home. He sleeps on his bed next to his foster mom all night.

Shadow is a medium energy boy with no food or toy aggression. He takes treats very gently. He is not destructive but will chew on a toy now and then. Bully sticks or Nylabones will satisfy him.

Shadow walks nicely on a leash, pulling slightly at first. He knows his basic commands; sit, (lie) down, and stay. He is smart and learns quickly as he wants to please his people. Shadow rides nicely in the car and would make a great errand companion.

Shadow is good with kids, but because of his size could accidentally knock a toddler down. He didn’t pay attention to the cat at the vet’s office so that a dog savvy cat may be ok.

Shadow is healthy and had a complete exam and bloodwork done. He is current on all shots, neutered and microchipped.
