ADOPTED!
Meet Tate! This boy is a beautiful chocolate male Labrador around two-three-years-old and weighs approximately 85lbs. Tate is housebroken and is exceptionally well mannered/behaved in the house.
Tate is a confident boy but not overpowering. He is excited when he first sees you but calms down quickly and quietly so that you can give him attention. He knows the basic commands of “sit” “down” & “come.” We have been working on “stay,” “wait,” and “leave it.” He is a fast learner and easily trained because he wants to please you and make you happy. He needs more leash training/work, but we are confident he will master this and love walks.
This boy loves his ball! He is an excellent retriever and will play the game endlessly if you are up to the challenge! His new family will want to get a “Chuck-It” and lots of balls. He enjoys rope toys to chew on and play tug within the house. He is a very mellow boy who is happy to hang-out with people. Tate is an indoor dog who enjoys outdoor activities.
Tate is a very trusting and accepting pup. He is undaunted and unfazed to try new and exciting things. He was well-taken care by his previous owners, which has allowed his gentle temperament and kind disposition to shine through! He is an excellent traveler! He gets in, lays down, and settles, whether it’s for short trips running errands or long rides to the beach or the mountains.
Tate is good with and enjoys being with another dog. He needs to have someone home during the day. He is not a dog who can be left alone for hours at a time. Someone who is retired but active or works from home or someone who would be able to take him to work with them would be the perfect family. We believe with Tate’s temperament and disposition, and he could be a candidate for therapy training, as he is gentle and loving.
Tate is neutered, up to date on his shots, microchipped, and ready to meet his new family.
We have already received a lot of interest in Tate, you’ll need to be approved to adopt from us. Please understand, we may not be able to get to your approval before Tate finding his new home. However, we recommend completing our application and proceeding with the approval process. Then you’re ready for another dog you would like to meet.
