ADOPTED!

Meet Trudy! She’s a gorgeous, smart, and athletic yellow labby girl, approximately  2 to 3 years old. At home, Trudy is a perfectly well-behaved pup, who is sweet and polite and loves to sleep (she sleeps through the night and then some!).

Trudy was never walked on a leash in her previous home and is working on how to be a good girl while passing by other dogs and people.   In the time her foster parents have had her, she’s made a lot of progress on the leash.  Trudy will need additional training so that she understands that she doesn’t need to pull or bark at other dogs while on a walk.

Trudy is receiving some remote training from our resident volunteer dog trainer while at her foster home. Unfortunately, due to the “Stay at home order,” our trainer is not able to meet Trudy and her foster parents in person.  We are confident she can overcome it with some more training and more importantly, love. She’s so easy to love!

Trudy is smart and responsive to commands – she knows how to sit, lay, give her paw, and LOVES to fetch.  She loves to chew toys also and knows not to chew on things that aren’t hers.  She isn’t food or toy aggressive.  Her new home must have appropriate chew toys and bones, such as Antlers, Nylabones, and Kongs, at her disposal.

Trudy is house trained and is rather easy-going about what time she goes out. She prefers to slowly wake up, eat her breakfast, and hang out a little before she goes for a walk.  Trudy loves to sit near the windows of the house and watch the birds and people walking by. She’s a very loyal companion who loves spending time with you.

Trudy had may have had a bad experience with dogs in her past, and as a result, she’s a little untrusting and scared of other dogs. Her story is she was bullied by several other dogs that were in the home.  Because of this, we believe her perfect furever place would be one without other dogs.

Trudy has not been tested around cats or small children.  She is a doll and needs a stable home where she will be loved and cherished.

Trudy is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her shots.
