Meet Harvey! He is a 15-month-old English Labrador Retriever. This gorgeous boy is the poster pup for English labs, from his blocky head, bear paw feet, otter tail, and the perfect weight of 75lbs. His looks will grab your attention, and his personality will steal your heart!

Harvey is house and crate trained. He has had basic obedience training and once adjusted behaves and responds well. He walks well on a leash, and he also rides well in the car. Harvey gets along well with other dogs and loves to play with them. He LOVES water, and he plays a little ball.

While Harvey sounds perfect on paper (and practically is!), he needs a reliable and experienced leader to help him mature and grow through his adolescent puppyhood to become that prized, loyal companion he is meant to be.

Harvey has terrific potential but will require strong leadership, experience with the mind/attitude of an adolescent pup, and patience as he settles and adjusts to his new environment and furever home. He is not a candidate for a first-time dog or lab owner. Only experienced owners will be considered.

Harvey should probably be an only dog at this point in his life so that he gets the one on one attention he needs at this stage in his young life. An extended family with other dogs that he could play with often would allow him the interaction and stimulation he needs and loves and would be an excellent fit for him.

We will not place Harvey in a home with very young children; he is a big boy and could easily knock them over. We will consider families with children over 10.

Harvey would LOVE a swimming pool if not in his backyard then one nearby that he could often visit as he is true to this water-loving breed.

Harvey is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, and microchipped.
