ADOPTED!
Meet Bentley! This young pup is an amazing boy. At only six months old, he is thoroughly house trained, crate trained, and has mastered his necessary obedience skills of “sit” and “stay” his “down” and “leave it” are becoming pretty consistent. He walks nicely on a leash and is excellent in the car. He already knows the fetch and brings the ball back to you and drops it at your feet. He is not a jumper or a grabber, and he responds quickly to “No” (which his foster family says they rarely need to use).
Bentley needs a home where his training is a priority and consistent through the next stage of his puppyhood. He is not a high energy pup, but he loves to play and then naps a little. Bentley enjoys his two lab foster brothers (who are 1.5 years and five years old), and more importantly, they have also experienced him. He is not a bothersome/mouthy puppy.
Bentley doesn’t need a large yard to be happy. A ball, a few toys, definitely a variety of chew toys, and you are all he needs to keep him happy and engaged in life. He will want/need a crate, at least for a while, to sleep in at night (he often puts himself to bed!) and keeps him safe and secure while you are out.
Bentley’s foster family says he is a perfect puppy and believe he would make an excellent therapy dog in the future with further training when he is all grown up.
Bentley is still a young puppy, and his new home should make sure their home is “puppy-proofed.” No items lying around that could get his attention and be picked up and cause potential harm to him.
Bentley has not yet been neutered and will be adopted on a “Neuter Contract,” which his foster rep will discuss with his new family. Bentley was vaccinated and had a fecal, which was negative and seen by our veterinarian.
