ADOPTED!
Meet Kali! She is an approximately five-year-old beautiful Golden Retriever with outstanding temperament and personality. She is gentle around children and gets along very well with everybody, including cats!
Kali enjoys the company of other dogs and is very friendly meeting them. She would love to have a friendly playmate or is excellent as an only treasured addition to a family that will give her attention and love! Kali is gentle and has no toy or food aggression.
Kali appeared to had a few litters of puppies and has been on a weight loss diet since arriving at her foster home. She has already lost 5 pounds, and our vet feels she should loose another 5-10 lbs to be at her optimal weight. Kali doesn’t beg for food but needs to be gently reminded that human food isn’t for her.
Kali walks decently on a leash but could use some training so she can master her skills. She enjoys neighborhood walks and loves when people stop to talk to her. Kali has a sweet personality, and she doesn’t seem to get worked up about anything.
Kali was a mess when she came into the rescue. We had no choice but to have her shaved; she was so matted our vet had to do it because the groomer was concerned about how close it was to her skin. Kali is now sporting a “Lion” cut and looks adorable. Kali’s fur should grow out within a few months.
Kali loves attention, whether it be from her people or her dog friends. She hasn’t shown any separation anxiety, but she very much wants to be part of the family; therefore, she would not be happy if he was alone for extended periods.
Kali is a delightful, easy-going, no-nonsense dog that will wag her tail with excitement because you said hello to her. She settles down for bed nicely and has slept through the night without issue. She has mastered the dog door at her foster home and has had no accidents inside the house.
Kali is an outstanding dog who is even-tempered and affectionate. She is eager to please and would be happiest in a home where she is the center of attention.
Kali is spayed, current on her vaccines, and microchipped.
