ADOPTED!
Meet Gabby! She is an 18-month-old female Golden Retriever. Gabby was surrendered to WCLRR when her family realized she needed more attention than they could provide.
Gabby is a little timid because she was wasn’t exposed to many things. We don’t believe she was ever walked on a leash. She is learning while at her foster home, but she would benefit from some leash training. Once Gabby is leashed trained, she would make a great hiking partner or maybe a running partner.
Gabby is very food motivated. She will take her time eating and is not food or toy aggressive, however. Gabby takes treats gently, which makes training easier.
Gabby was in a home with another dog. We believe she would benefit from being placed in a house with another well-adjusted younger dog.
She loves the other dogs she is fostered with. Gabby can also be described as a “Velcro Dog.” She follows her foster mom around everywhere.
Gabby is on the mellow side for a young pup but can get her “zoomies” on occasion. Gabby loves going for rides in the car.
Gabby has recently been spayed, microchipped, and is current on her vaccines.
