ADOPTED!

Meet Dee Dee! She is a cute female seven-month-old Golden Retriever. Dee Dee is a playful yet somewhat calm puppy. She loves a game of chase with several dogs at her foster mom’s house. She is currently fostered with other dogs. Dee Dee enjoys playing with toys and loves a nice Nylabone to chew. She is in the puppy stage and does chew, so many appropriate and safe chew toys are a must for her.

Dee Dee knows a few basic commands, such as sitting and waiting for her breakfast and dinner. She is crate trained and sleeps all night in her crate. She is also housebroken; however, her new family should be prepared for a possible accident when she arrives at her new home. Her family will need to learn her signals to go outside.

Dee Dee can be a little nervous with new people at first. She will bark at someone until she finds the comfort level with them. She has dramatically improved with this since being at her fosters home, but her new family should be aware.

Dee Dee is learning how to walk on a leash. Her new family should continue to work with her on this and basic training. She is a smart girl and “treat motivated,” so training should be a breeze. Dee Dee does eat very fast, so her foster has her eating out of a puzzle bowl or slow feeder.

Dee Dee is mouthy and likes to put your hand in her mouth. Because of this, we can not place her with a family with young children.

Dee Dee has recovered from her spay surgery, and she also had a hematoma repaired on her ear. After spending two weeks wearing a cone, she can start enjoying her freedom. Dee Dee was a good girl during her recovery.

Dee Dee is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her shots, and ready to find her “furever” home.
