ADOPTED!
Meet Weston! He is a stunning male Labrador Retriever approximately three-years-old. Weston was initially surrendered to a shelter due to an incident when his former family sprayed “flea medication” into his face. Unfortunately, he reacted and lashed out and causing his owner to determine he wasn’t the right fit for them. WCLRR feels Weston deserves a chance and at a considerable expense to the rescue, WCLRR put Weston in a “Board and Train” facility working on his trauma issues. Now, Weston is ready for his “furever” home.
Weston’s ideal family will be a calm household that can handle his puppy-like energy and behaviors. His family must be devoted to his continued training and maintaining management and structure in his daily routine. Weston needs a calm family environment where he can play and who appreciate his puppy energy and goofiness.
Weston is a sweet boy, but he’s like a bowling ball if he runs into you out of excitement. He can easily knock someone over. Therefore, we will not place Weston in a home with children. He is not the right candidate for runners or an avid hiker. However, he could be a great walking partner.
Weston’s new family must agree to continue working with his current trainer to transition him into his new home successfully.
Weston is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines.
Weston is a special case, and his foster representative will provide more detail with his new potential family. Selected candidates will be given our trainer’s full report.
