ADOPTED!

Meet Albert! He is a 20-month-old male Golden Retriever who was surrendered to WCLRR when his family experienced a change in their living arrangements and wanted Albert to have a home and family that could provide what he deserved and needed.

Albert is a young dog who needs a family dedicated to working with him and making him a well-adjusted and trained dog. He is smart, so training should be fun for him and his new family.  Albert is an attention-seeker. He loves and craves attention; he will follow you around and loves getting petted.

Albert is learning how to be part of a family and is currently fostered with an older male Labrador. He loves romping and wrestling with him, but he can play a little rough at times for the older dog. A home with another younger large breed dog would be great for him if the dog likes to play and rough house. Albert would presumably play a little too harsh with a little dog because of his size.

Albert loves to play fetch and loves toys. He is crate trained and will walk right into the crate at bedtime. Albert shows no signs of being possessive with his toys or food. He knows some basic commands.

Albert would make a great walking partner for a family; he loves his walks, and with a little more training, he would be great. Albert might even like to go on hikes and family outings, such as the dog beach.

When Albert came into the rescue, he was not housebroken, but his foster family worked on this and is doing great. Rescue dogs can have an accident in their new home, and his new family needs to work on what his signals are showing he needs to go outside. Once he gets a routine down, he should be great.

Albert was recently neutered, up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped.
