ADOPTED!
Meet Mango! She is a sweet 2 to 3-year-old yellow-colored female Labrador/Golden Retriever mix. She came to WCLRR as an owner surrender due to a change in their work schedules.
Mango is a higher energy girl. She loves daily walks and would love to be a jogging/running partner. She likes to zoom around the back yard and play with a ball. Mango’s favorite thing is her family; whether inside or outside, Mango can be found next to her person. Mango jumps when she is excited and uses her paws to get your attention. For this reason, she would do best in a family with children over eight years old.
Mango has been caught checking out the counters at her foster home. All counters need to be cleared of all items that can be harmful to Mango, such as food, medicines, and candy. If there is no reward when she jumps on the counter, she will stop looking for one. Mango is highly food driven, so training her will be easier, but in the meantime, extra care needs to be taken.
Mango is crate trained and sleeps though-out the night. She is housebroken. However, any dog could have an accident in their new home as they are learning a routine, and their new family is picking up on her clues to go outside. Mango knows some basic commands, such and sit and stay, and is eager to learn more.
Mango does well walking on a leash and enjoys her outings. Sometimes Mango gets very excited when she meets other dogs and will pull and bark. Her new family needs to work with Mango on greeting dogs. Since Mango is, so food motivated, training should be a breeze. Her family will need to be consistent with her.
Mango is currently fostered with another Labrador. Mango could also be an only dog if her family is home with her and doesn’t mind a Velcro dog.
Mango has been spayed, microchipped, and is current on her vaccines.
