ADOPTED!

Meet Kona! She is a lively four-year-old petite female Labrador Retriever with a beautiful glossy black coat and the personality and energy of a puppy. Kona was surrendered to WCLRR when her person got a new job. But, unfortunately, they didn’t feel that they could give her the time and attention that she deserved.

Kona is a very social girl. Her foster family has another lab, and the two dogs love to hang out and play with each other. She is very comfortable meeting new people and dogs. She loves long walks and would be an ideal running or hiking companion. Kona also likes car rides and is happy to be the co-pilot on outings.

Kona’s favorite thing besides people and dogs are her toys! She will play fetch for hours, bringing her toys to her people to invite them to play with her. She loves her chew toys, and her new family will want to make sure she has a wide selection of Nylabones and Kongs in the house and the yard.

Kona’s ideal home would be one where her people are around most of the time, and if she had another dog to hang out with, that would be even better!

Kona is crate trained, housebroken, and will sit for treats. However, she has been known to check out the kitchen counter to see if any special treats have been left for her, so her family will need to keep counters clear.

Kona is comfortable on a leash, but she does pull, and her new family needs to teach her she shouldn’t pull to get to the things she wants to investigate!

Kona is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and microchipped.
