ADOPTED!
Meet Miles! He’s a beautiful male black Labrador Retriever with a glossy black coat and the most beautiful brown eyes you’ve ever seen! Miles is 11 years old and was surrendered to WCLRR when his family found they couldn’t give him the time he deserved.
Miles is a low-to-medium-energy dog that loves people of all ages and other dogs. He is very respectful of other dogs’ space and plays well with them. Miles is currently living with another dog, and they get along very well. He has not been tested with cats or other small animals.
Miles loves being with his people and doing things with them. His favorite toy is a tug toy, and he loves a good session of tug o’ war with someone in his family! Chasing balls is another of Miles’s favorite pastimes. He is excellent in the car and sits quietly during outings, enjoying the time with his family. He is extremely affectionate and gentle and loves to snuggle!
Miles is very well-behaved. He is fully house trained and sleeps through the night on a dog bed next to his foster mom, getting up in the morning when she does. He knows the sit, stay, and come commands. He will not get on furniture unless he is invited to hop up and join his person for a snuggle. He walks well on a leash and loves going for walks.
Miles has occasionally been known to counter-surf, although his foster mom reports that he is easily corrected when caught. His new family will need to remember to keep counters clear of dangerous items in case he decides to do some exploring when they aren’t looking!
Miles’s ideal home would be with people who are home most of the time and have plenty of time to play with him and give him cuddles. Miles is very social and would enjoy having another dog in the home as a playmate and companion.
Miles is neutered, is current on his vaccines, and is microchipped.
