ADOPTED!
Meet Sammie! She’s an adorable 11 to 12-year old female Golden Retriever. Sammie was surrendered to WCLRR when her owner had a change in work schedule that left Sammie alone for long periods.
Sammie exemplifies the saying, “you’re only as old as you feel!” She may be a senior, but you wouldn’t know it! She is very active. She loves playing with her toys, and chasing the ball is her favorite game. Sammie adores people of all ages and all dogs.
Sammie is fully housebroken and knows all the basic commands. She sleeps quietly through the night on a dog bed next to her foster dad, getting up when he does.
Sammie has had a complete health review. She did have a urinary tract infection when she came to WCLRR, probably due to not having access to going potty outside and holding it all day. She was placed on a special diet and antibiotics, eliminating the infection. Sammie is fully healed and is in good health for her age.
Sammie’s ideal home is one where people are around most of the time, where she will know only love. She asks for nothing more than a soft bed, a healthy diet, and an endless supply of toys and attention. Sammie’s foster calls her an Angel, and we couldn’t agree more. She would be an excellent companion for an individual, couple, or family looking for a dog that enjoys walks, playing, socializing with other people and dogs, and just hanging out together.
Sammie is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and microchipped.
