ADOPTED!
Meet Rosie! Rosie is an adorable 11-month-old black Labrador Retriever mix. She is on the petite side, with a glossy black coat. Rosie came to WCLRR when her owner realized that she couldn’t manage Rosie’s puppy energy.
Rosie is a medium-to-high energy dog. She enjoys swimming in a pool and loves to play fetch, keep away, tug, and any other game her people can come up with! She also enjoys chewing and requires healthy toys to keep her engaged. If left to find her chew toys, they may be shoes, toilet paper rolls, or anything that looks interesting to her. Rosie always wants to be in on the action and gets upset if she is excluded from activities!
Rosie is great with people and other pets. She is a cuddler when she is in a mellow mood. Rosie snuggles on the sofa and always wants to be touching her people. She likes to put both paws on her people’s shoulders, and she will pull them in for a hug! Rosie enjoys long walks and the dog park and is very good on the leash. She is very friendly and curious about other dogs on walks but cautious of barking dogs behind fences. She lives with a male lab and likes to play tug and wrestle with him. Rosie has not lived with cats or other small animals.
Rosie is housetrained and hasn’t had any accidents in her foster home. She sleeps quietly through the night in the bedroom with her people. Once her people are up, she is ready to start the day!
Rosie’s ideal home would be with an active individual, couple, or family with a secure yard and maybe a pool where she can run, swim, and play. Having another dog in the home would also be a plus in Rosie’s book. She loves to play! Rosie is still a puppy and needs supervision and would do best with someone home during the day. She can get worked up in the excitement of play and become nippy or jump on people and is still learning to stop play and calm down. Because of this, Rosie would be best in a home with children old enough to play with her but can tell when she is too excited and help her calm down.
Rosie is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and microchipped.
