ADOPTED!
Meet Bagel! He is a one-year-old male Golden Retriever-Poodle mix (a “Golden Doodle”). He is a tall dog with beautiful wavy fur that is the color of a perfectly toasted bagel! In addition, he has gorgeous soft eyes and a sweet loving personality. Bagel was surrendered to WCLRR when his family found that they could not give him the time and attention he deserved.
Bagel loves everyone! He is an easy-going dog that wants to be cuddled. Although he is young, he isn’t a super high-energy puppy. He loves walks and playing fetch and enjoys chewing on Nylabones. Bagel lives with three Labrador Retrievers, a Maltese, and a cat at his foster home. He gets along well with the dogs. Bagel will bark and chase the cat if it runs, but he doesn’t try to hurt it. Instead, he seems to want to play!
Bagel knows to sit, shake and lay down. He is house trained and has not had any accidents in his foster home. Bagel likes to go on walks, but he pulls on the leash, so his new family will need to work with him on leash manners.
Bagel sleeps on a dog bed in a bedroom and patiently waits for his people to get up in the morning to start their day.
Bagel is tall and can easily reach items on counters, so his new family should remember to keep dangerous things such as medicines out of reach. Bagel loves to be with his people. He will bark a bit when he is left on his own or if he is outside while his people are in the house.
Bagel’s ideal home would be with an active family where someone is home most of the time to give him the attention and snuggles he loves. He would be OK with older children and enjoy having other dogs in the house for companionship. Bagel would also probably be fine with a calm cat that doesn’t run around a lot.
Bagel is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, and is microchipped.
