ADOPTED!
Meet George! He is an affectionate 11-month-old Labrador Retriever-Golden mix with beautiful fur and a fabulous smile. George is a happy boy, and his foster says that his tail is wagging from when he wakes up! George’s family surrendered him to WCLRR when they divorced and couldn’t keep him.
George is a medium-activity dog. He enjoys playing with toys and balls and loves getting treats! George loves people and treats everyone he meets as if they are long-lost friends. He can be enthusiastic in his greetings and sometimes jumps on people in his excitement. He adores being with other dogs and gets along well with them. George is very interested in the foster’s cat, and his foster thinks that George would be fine with cats with proper introductions.
George understands “sit” and “no.” He is house-trained and walks well on a leash. His foster has not seen any counter surfing, and George isn’t a barker. However, he does jump on people when he meets them, so his new family may want to work with him on that, particularly around people with mobility issues.
George sleeps quietly through the night in a crate in his foster’s bedroom. Then, in the morning, the first thing George’s foster hears from him is his tail wagging because he’s anxious to get out of the crate and get his morning hugs and kisses!
George’s ideal home would be with an active individual, couple, or family that will take him on adventures with them. He loves to be outside and needs a yard to run around, but his favorite place is wherever his people are! George would do well in a home with older children who would play with him. He would love to have one or more dog siblings to play with!
George is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped.
