Josie the Swimming Sensation

Lisa’s family adopted Josie from WCLRR on 7/27/24 when she was just 8 weeks old. Today is Josie’s 2nd birthday, and she has grown into such a fun, high-energy Lab!

Josie had a wonderful second birthday party recently. Here she is in her party attire surrounded by her gifts.

She absolutely loves swimming — whether it’s the ocean, the lake, or a pool. Some of her favorite things are pool playdates with her friend Breezy, chasing ducks at the lake, and running up and down Huntington Dog Beach fetching her ball… and usually everyone else’s too!

When she’s not swimming, she loves long walks, playing fetch, boat rides and napping after a busy day. Josie is incredibly well-behaved, so we take her almost everywhere with us. This past weekend she even joined us in Ojai, where she got to explore and hike.

She’s smart as a whip, full of personality, and the biggest cuddle bug. We couldn’t imagine life without her.
